My friend's smart fridge tried to email everyone in his contacts

We were at his place in Seattle last weekend when his new smart fridge got hacked and started spamming weird grocery lists to his entire Gmail contact list. Turns out he never changed the default admin password from 'password123'. What's the dumbest default password you've seen on a new device?

Honestly, the real problem is people not changing them. Defaults gotta start somewhere.

Heard about a security camera that came with the password "admin" and the username "admin". Like, they didn't even TRY. My cousin bought a cheap smart plug that had "12345678" printed right on the box. It's like companies WANT these things to get hacked. You gotta change that stuff the second you open the box, or you're just asking for trouble.
