Overheard my neighbor bragging about using 'password123' for everything

I was out getting my mail yesterday and my neighbor was on the phone saying he uses the same password for his email, bank, and Netflix. He said it was 'password123' with a capital P and he's never had a problem. I wanted to yell at him that his credit card info is basically free real estate for hackers. Has anyone here actually convinced a friend or family member to change their passwords after a talk like that?

Man's basically handing out his bank login like candy on Halloween. At least his Netflix will have great recommendations before his accounts get drained.

Switched to a password manager that same week. Best decision ever.

Did you mention to him how many data breaches have made password123 part of the first list hackers try? Sometimes hearing the actual number makes it click for people.
