Remember when you had to pick between a password manager and just remembering them?
About eight years back, I was setting up a new laptop and hit that choice. I went with the password manager, a free one called KeePass. It felt like a hassle at first, making a master password and copying files to a USB drive. Now I have over 200 unique passwords and I only need to remember one thing. Anyone else make the switch and find it weirdly freeing?

Wait, you're still copying the file to a USB drive? That's the part that seems off to me. Why not use something like Dropbox or Google Drive to sync the database file? Then you can get to your passwords on your phone or any computer without needing that physical drive. I used to do the USB thing too and it was a pain. Syncing it to the cloud was the real game changer.

Trusting a cloud service with my password file feels like leaving the keys in the front door. I'll keep my USB drive and sleep better.

Ever tried using a password manager's built-in sync? I got tired of the USB shuffle and switched to one that saves an encrypted file directly to my own Google Drive. Now it just updates across my phone and laptop without me doing anything.
