Showerthought: A guy in a Discord server roasted my password habits and it actually stuck
Last month I posted a screenshot of my password spreadsheet in a small security Discord, thinking I was being careful. Someone replied "this is a museum of your whole life in one file" and pointed out that one breach and I lose everything at once. So I moved to a password manager with a long passphrase and turned on 2FA for my email and bank, which took about 40 minutes total. It felt like a lot of work for something nobody sees, but I sleep better now. Has anyone else had a random internet stranger give you better advice than a whole blog post?
