The change from simple passwords to multi-factor auth puzzles me

I get why it's needed, but all those extra steps feel like too much sometimes.

Mark's seatbelt thing is so true... it's just a thing you do now without even thinking. But honestly zara_murphy45, I'd rather tap my phone a few times than have to deal with someone buying a bunch of weird stuff with my card. That sounds like a way bigger headache. The real joke is when the code goes to your email and you need another code to get into your email.

Those extra steps are a small price to pay for keeping your info safe.

Yeah, calling it a 'small price to pay' really hits home. I notice this pattern with things like using two-step login for email or dealing with extra verification codes. It's similar to how we bother with seatbelts every car ride, a little annoyance that just becomes normal. Once you see it that way, all these small safety habits make sense lol.

From my experience, the extra steps seem more trouble than they're worth.
