Vent: Spent $200 on a VPN that barely worked

I paid $200 for a two year plan at that VPN service and my streaming speed dropped to dial up levels. What are you all using that actually keeps your connection fast?

I had a very similar experience with a two year plan from a company called FastShield a few years back. Paid $150 and my streaming would buffer constantly, even with fiber internet. It turned out their servers were just overloaded in my region.

Man, that's exactly the kind of garbage that gets me fired up (sorry, not sorry). I had a similar deal with a company called NetVault a couple years ago - paid like $200 for two years and it was a total scam. Their "unlimited" plan turned out to be cap after 30 gigs, which nobody mentioned until I hit the limit like a dummy. And their support was just a bot that kept saying "we'll look into it" over and over again. Makes you wonder how these companies even stay in business, honestly.
