Appreciation post: the retired guy with the pretzel kiosk at Century III is 100% real
I went into the dead Century III mall near Pittsburgh last Saturday fully expecting that sad little pretzel stand by the food court to be a fake front for something. Instead this retired guy named Ron has been hand rolling dough there for 11 years and the mall is basically empty around him. He sold me 6 pretzels for $8 and told me the trick is he salts them after 90 seconds, not right out of the oven. Has anyone else run into a lone kiosk person who's somehow still keeping the lights on in a place like this?
