Paid $6 for a "mystery box" of returns at a flea market in Tulsa, turned out to be a better deal than any flash sale email I get

I got an email last week screaming 80% OFF but the "original price" was marked up so high the math was a joke. So on Saturday I hit the flea market on 11th and paid $6 cash for a taped up mystery box of store returns, no promises, no fine print. Inside was a working blender, two phone cases that fit my old phone, and a dumb little lamp my kid now loves. The whole box cost less than the "discounted" shipping fee on that email deal. Anyone else notice these email "deals" are mostly just marked up junk with a timer on them?
