PSA: I tracked every "flash sale" email for 30 days and only 2 were actually cheaper
So last month I got curious after almost buying a $70 air fryer from one of those 24 hour sale emails. I started a little spreadsheet on my phone and logged every single deal that hit my inbox for 30 days, all 47 of them. I even checked the prices on camelcamelcamel and a couple other trackers, and here is the wild part. 44 of those sales were either the same price as usual or like a dollar off. Only 2 were real drops, and one of those went lower two weeks later anyway. The worst one was a headlamp that said "50% off" but the regular price had been quietly jacked up 3 days before the sale. I felt kinda dumb because I almost fell for it twice. Now I just check the price history first, takes like 10 seconds. Has anyone else done a test like this, or am I the only weirdo with a deal spreadsheet?
