Spent 45 minutes trying to cancel a subscription I signed up for in 2 clicks

Got tricked by that one-click checkout on a free trial and then had to hunt through four different menus to actually end it. Anyone else find it takes way longer to quit a service than to join?

Oh man, you're not wrong but I gotta push back a little on the "45 minutes" thing. I timed myself once and it was actually 38 minutes for a gym membership. Felt like 45 though, time moves different when you're rage-clicking through menus. The real trick is they bury the cancel option under "account settings" then "billing" then "manage plan" but the signup button is literally glowing at you from the homepage. It's like they design it to be harder to leave than to join on purpose or something.

LITERALLY tried to cancel a streaming service last week and it took me 47 minutes. Kept getting error messages too. They'd show me a "are you sure?" popup every single time. Then they tried to offer me three months at half price. Had to click "no thanks" like five times. It's basically a psychological test at this point. Just let me leave already, I'm not falling for your fake discounts.

Bro that's literally every subscription now @the_sean, not just streaming and gyms. It's like companies decided the whole internet should be a maze where you can enter in 2 clicks but need a PhD to leave. They're all running the same playbook like they think we won't notice.

38 minutes is way too specific, that's wild dedication!
