That $15 bidet attachment from Amazon changed my mind about buying cheap plumbing parts

I picked up one of those cheap bidet attachments off Amazon about 6 months ago just to see what the fuss was about. The plastic connectors looked flimsy in the box and I almost sent it back. But I figured for $15 what did I have to lose, so I hooked it up to my toilet in about 20 minutes. After using it daily for six months the thing still works like new, no leaks or cracks. Meanwhile my neighbor paid $80 for a name brand one at the hardware store and his valve started dripping after three months. I guess sometimes the cheap gamble pays off. Has anyone else had good luck with those super cheap bidet attachments or did I just get lucky with mine?

Did you go with the metal or plastic inlet adapter on yours? I've been hearing mixed things about whether the plastic ones hold up over time.

The "plastic ones hold up" thing actually made me switch from metal to plastic...

Man the switch from metal to plastic was the best thing I ever did for my setup. @lewis.brian I had the same doubts about longevity but my plastic one has been going strong for almost three years now with zero issues. The metal one I had before kept getting these tiny hairline cracks near the threads no matter how careful I was with it. Plastic just flexes a little instead of cracking and that makes all the difference in the world. Plus its way lighter which matters when you move stuff around as much as I do.
