That 'lifetime warranty' on my $60 blender lasted exactly 8 months

Bought a blender from a flash sale site back in January because the ad promised a lifetime warranty. When the motor gave out last week, I called the number and got a voicemail box that was full. Emailed their support address and it bounced back. Anyone else run into fake lifetime warranties from those pop-up deal sites?

Got burned the exact same way with a "lifetime" warranty on some noise-cancelling headphones... lasted about 4 months before the right earcup went dead and the company had already vanished from their webstore.

Man I bought one of those cheap air fryers from a flash sale site two years ago with a "lifetime warranty" too... turned out the heating element stopped working after maybe 6 months. I tried finding the company and the website was just gone, like it never even existed. These places must just set up shop, make a quick buck on a bunch of junk, and disappear before anyone can actually use the warranty.

My buddy Mike fell for the same thing with a portable blender. He bought it from one of those Instagram ad stores, paid 40 bucks for this thing that was supposed to be "indestructible." Third time he used it making smoothies, the motor just quit and started smoking. He tried emailing the support address on the box, it bounced back. Looked up the company and the whole storefront was a 404 page. Felt bad for him because he really thought he scored a deal.
