That Temu flash vacuum deal I bit on last month actually sucked more than my old Dyson

I grabbed a $23 cordless vacuum off Temu during a 48 hour sale because the listing claimed 8000Pa suction and 30 minute runtime. Tested it against my carpet and it barely picked up a single Cheerio before dying at 11 minutes flat. Is there a reliable budget vacuum under $50 that isn't a straight up gamble?

The $30 Walmart corded one I grabbed actually works better than my old Dyson ever did.

Picked up a Black+Decker Dustbuster with 10V from Walmart for $38 and it actually crushes Cheerios and runs 15mins+ with real suction.

Bought the same one, think I got negative suction for the last 4 minutes.

...and that's EXACTLY what I think is happening with these cheaper cordless vacs. It's like how @the_robin said his $30 Walmart one works better than a Dyson. There's this weird pattern where companies make stuff that's TOO complicated and it actually hurts performance. Like my old expensive Dyson would lose suction after 5 minutes because the battery management system was too smart for its own good. But my $40 corded shop vac from the hardware store just STAYS at full power until I unplug it. I think these cheap ones sometimes work better because they don't have all those extra sensors and computer chips slowing them down. The simple design just lets the motor do its job without interference.
