Guy at Best Buy told me to skip the 3 year protection plan and just use my credit card's warranty, so I tried it on a $340 TV
He said my card adds a year automatically and I just need to keep the receipt and file a claim online, and sure enough Chase cut me a check for the full price when the panel died at 14 months. Has anyone actually gotten a card warranty claim approved on something big like a laptop, or was I just lucky with the TV?
