Drove past a billboard that claimed 90% of people trust their local news

Stopped at a diner in Springfield yesterday and noticed this billboard from a local news station. 90% felt way too high to me so I looked up their methodology. Turns out they only surveyed 200 people and all of them were already subscribers to their station. Has anyone else caught a stat like this that just doesnt hold up when you dig into the sample?

200 people and they're all subscribers... yeah that's basically a fan club survey. I've seen the same trick with customer satisfaction stats where they only call people who bought within the last month. Always look for that sample size and where they got it from before you believe a number.

Buddy's boss bragged about 98% customer satisfaction from email survey. Totally.

Wow only 200 subscribers? That's worse than @emma_baker61's friend's survey.
