I called that viral 'sleep debt' chart fake for months, then I tracked my own hours for 60 days
I saw that chart going around saying you can't catch up on lost sleep and I told everyone it was cherry picked junk with no real sample size. So I logged my own sleep for 60 days with a $20 wrist tracker and my average was 6 hours 10 minutes, and on the weeks I tried to 'catch up' on Saturday I felt worse, not better. Now I want to know if anyone here has actually looked at the study behind that chart, because I can't find the raw data anywhere and I'm starting to think I was wrong to dismiss it so fast.
