Just found out the "1 in 4 women" stat comes from a survey of only 85 people
Was reading a news piece about campus safety that threw out that number, so I dug up the original 1985 study and the sample was tiny, like 85 students at one school. The margin of error on something that small has to be huge. How do you all usually check sample sizes when a stat gets repeated everywhere?
