Just realized I was misreading my water bill for 2 years

I used to just glance at the total due and pay it, but last month I actually looked at the usage chart. Turns out my toilet leak cost me an extra $18 a month since 2022, which adds up to over $400 I just threw away. Anyone else ever find hidden charges in a utility bill that they totally missed at first?
