I used to argue with a buddy that the 70% number was skewed by surveys counting teens and retired folks. Then I helped at a food bank in Des Moines for five days and saw 300 cars lined up by 7am, many with nurses badges and work boots. One guy in a Ford F-150 told me he makes $28 an hour and still can't cover a $400 brake job. I went back and read the actual Fed survey and the fine print was worse than the headline. How do you all check if a stat like that is real before you share it?
