Showerthought: I used to trust "85% of people" stats, now I check who they even asked
Saw a claim that 85% of folks want a 4 day week, and it turned out they only polled 600 people from one LinkedIn group. So which is it, are quick polls fine for a gut read, or should we toss anything under 1,000 people?
Honestly 600 people from one LinkedIn group is basically asking your group chat and calling it a national survey. Next they'll poll 12 guys at a gym and tell us 90% of the country lifts.
