That viral "job quitting" stat from last month has a huge blind spot...

So I saw this headline saying 72% of people are secretly planning to quit their jobs by 2026. Sounded wild right? I dug into the original survey and found out it was from a random LinkedIn poll with only 400 respondents... all of whom followed a career coach account. Then I noticed the question was worded "have you thought about quitting in the next 3 years" which is basically anyone who ever had a bad Tuesday. The real number from the Bureau of Labor Statistics is way lower... around 20% if you factor in people who actually update their resume. Has anyone else spotted these inflated polls hiding behind big percentages?

Man, I've seen this exact trick before. The best way to check these is to look at the sample size and who they surveyed. If it's less than 1,000 people from a specific interest group like "career coaching followers," the number is basically useless. I always tell people to cross-check with government data like the Bureau of Labor Statistics or even just look at average turnover rates for their industry.
