Caught myself falling for a fake Mars photo from a random Facebook page last night

Yeah I fell for one that claimed to show "the actual color of the sunset on Mars compared to Earth." Turns out it was just someone's Instagram filter from a trip to Arizona. Made me feel real smart for about thirty seconds until my wife asked why the "Martian sky" looked exactly like Sedona.

Hate when that happens, man. Its like you think you finally got one over on the internet and then reality slaps you in the face. I fell for a "real" photo of the Milky Way over some remote beach once, turned out it was a composite from three different stock images. Makes you wonder if anything online is real anymore or if we're all just building these pretty little lies for ourselves. Definitely feel your pain on that one.
