Paid $40 for a 'verified' PDF guide to passing the forklift cert and it was just photocopied pages from a 1998 manual

Found this website that claimed to have the official study materials for the OSHA forklift operator test. Sounded legit, had testimonials and everything. Got the PDF and it's literally blurry scans of an old textbook, some pages are upside down. Failed the written portion twice because none of the diagrams matched what was actually on the test. Has anyone else fallen for these scam certification sites or is there a real one out there?

Oh man, @holly709 is totally right about barber license scams, I actually read a whole article about that last month where some guy paid $200 for a "state approved" toolkit and it was just YouTube links. With your forklift thing though, I saw on a different forum someone mentioned that the actual OSHA study materials are free on their website but nobody knows about it because the scam sites pay for Google ads. The diagrams being upside down is brutal though, how does that even happen with a scan? Real certification prep is out there but it feels like the scammers are always one step ahead with their fake testimonials and polished websites.

Oh geez, I've seen this exact thing with some of my students' parents who tried to get their forklift cert online. The worst part is the scam sites have customer service numbers that just ring forever and the "refund policy" is buried in tiny text at the bottom of the page. Best bet is to type the exact OSHA document number into Google, not the course name, so you skip all the paid ads.

Seen this same scam with barber license prep too. People just want quick money.
