That coworker who swore by WD-40 on door hinges was dead wrong
A guy named Dave from my last job said to spray WD-40 on every squeaky door hinge instead of using actual grease. I did that on three office doors and they started sticking and making worse noises within a week. Has anyone else had a fix that totally backfired like that?

Dave probably thinks duct tape fixes everything too.

LOL oh man that hits close to home. I once tried to fix a leaky pipe with duct tape and ended up flooding my bathroom. Dave and I would probably get along too well.

wait so did you actually try to fix it yourself after watching a youtube tutorial too? because thats exactly what I did and I ended up making the leak worse before my roommate called a real plumber. lmao I swear the internet makes everything look so easy until you're standing in a puddle of water wondering where you went wrong. dave would probably hand you a roll of duct tape and say "this'll hold it" and somehow make it work until you could get a proper fix.
