That viral 'egg cleaner' gadget is a total scam and I have the math to prove it

Last week I saw a TikTok claiming this $15 silicone gadget saves 30 eggs from cracking, but I tested it on 5 dozen eggs and it broke 11 of them. Has anyone else actually put one of these to a real test with a timer and counter?

Betty did you actually time yourself using it? I'm curious (like genuinely) if the speed of pulling the eggs out matters, or if it's just a design flaw that makes them crack regardless.

Oh man I fell for that stupid thing too! Bought one off Amazon and it cracked 3 eggs just taking them out of the carton the first time I used it lol. Total waste of $15.
