Heard a guy at the coffee shop say that 'drinking alkaline water cures cancer' and it set off every alarm bell in my head
He was super serious about it too, showed me a Facebook article from a page called 'Natural Healing Zone' with zero sources and like 5 typos, so has anyone else seen this exact garbage floating around your feed?

omg the 'Natural Healing Zone' page is such a joke lol. i swear i see that same bogus article shared by like 3 different aunties every month. it's always the same recycled nonsense with no actual science, just a bunch of buzzwords like 'alkaline' and 'detox' thrown together. the worst part is people actually believe this stuff because it sounds smart when you dont know better. i remember reading somewhere that your body regulates its own pH super tightly so drinking fancy water does literally nothing. it's honestly dangerous when people push this as a cure instead of real treatment.

the real kicker is how these pages always hide the disclaimer in fine print at the bottom that says "not medical advice" but people just scroll past it. my cousin actually stopped taking her blood pressure meds because she saw a post from them saying hibiscus tea is better. she ended up in the ER with a stroke scare. the worst part is the page just blocks anyone who calls them out and keeps posting the same garbage to a new audience. sites like that are basically preying on people who are scared of doctors or can't afford real healthcare. someone should report them to the FTC for false advertising honestly.

Respectfully, I think calling people who fall for this stuff gullible misses how desperate folks get when they're scared.
