Hot take: That 'solar panel scam' article going around is straight up wrong

I saw a viral post claiming solar panels in Arizona take 25 years to pay off. I live in Phoenix and got my system installed in 2019 for $18,000 after credits. My electric bill went from $220 a month to $12. The article used data from a 2010 study when panels cost way more. Checked my own numbers and I'll break even by 2026. Has anyone else run the math on these fear-mongering articles?

Wait, does that mean my solar panels are secretly just expensive yard art?

Fear mongering" feels a little strong doesn't it lol. I mean yeah the article is wrong but people get so dramatic about solar panels. Like chill it's just a tech thing.

Wait, you really think that's "dramatic"? 25 years to break even in Phoenix sun is straight up math denial.
