I called BS on that viral 'contractor ripped out my dream kitchen' story, then I watched the full 14 minute video
Saw the clip everywhere in March, a homeowner in Boise crying about a $38,000 remodel that got torn apart. The caption said the crew walked off after one day and ghosted her. I almost reposted it, then I noticed the article was from a site I had never heard of with no byline and a stock photo of a different kitchen. Watched the original video and it turns out she fired them after a permit dispute, and the 'walk off' was them leaving because she told them to. So what is the play here, do people just not click through anymore, because I almost got got by a headline I would have torn apart last year.
Wait, so she was the one who told them to leave and the internet still ran with "crew ghosted her"? That's wild. How many of those views do you think came from people who never even clicked the video, just the caption?
