That viral $500 air purifier article made me buy one, my electric bill jumped 30 bucks
The piece claimed it would slash allergy meds and dust, so I grabbed the exact model from the link last month in Phoenix. My sinuses feel the same but my monthly power bill went from $210 to $240, and the filter replacement costs $90 every 3 months. Has anyone actually run a meter test on these things, or is the whole 'HEPA saves money' angle just junk science?
