I saw a 45 second clip making the rounds claiming a NASA study says we are getting pulled toward a black hole, and it had 2 million likes. I looked up the paper in the description and it was from 2018, about how the solar system's orbit shifts by about 2 centimeters per second over billions of years. The clip cut the words 'negligible' and 'over 100 billion years' from the abstract, which kind of changes the whole thing. The person who posted it doesn't even work in the field, just reposts space clips for ad money. How do you all spot these before sharing them? I want a faster way to check.
