That viral clip of a homeowner yelling at a landscaper in Dallas got 4 million views, and I'm pretty sure it was cut to hide the other 20 minutes
A buddy sent me the link since I run a crew and he figured I'd get a kick out of it. The clip is 38 seconds long and it jumps straight from the guy pointing at some dead shrubs to him screaming about being ripped off for $3,400. What nobody reposting it seems to notice is the same lawn shows up in three other videos on that account, all filmed in different seasons. I went down a rabbit hole on it, and about a week before the blowup video the dude had posted a whole thing about refusing to water anything because he was mad at his HOA. So the grass dies, the guy films the argument, and the internet decides every landscaper is a crook based on 38 seconds. Back when I started this work you had to actually know the neighbor to hear a story like that, now it's 4 million people in two days. Does anyone know if there's a way to check when a viral clip was edited versus just cut short, like some kind of timestamp tool?
Come on, the guy probably earned that yelling. Homeowners lie all the time about what they agreed to and then act shocked when the bill shows up. Four million people watching one clip doesn't mean the landscaper did anything wrong either, so why are we assuming the video is the fake part?
