Fell for that "passive income" course and lost $400

I saw this ad about making money with AI generated content and it sounded too easy. They promised I'd make my money back in two weeks if I just followed their system. I paid $400 for the course and it was basically a bunch of screenshots and some generic advice you could find on YouTube for free. The whole thing was about setting up automated blogs but they didn't tell you about all the hosting costs and traffic issues. After three months I made maybe $12 total. Has anyone else gotten burned by one of these online money making schemes?

That $400 price point is actually pretty standard for these guru courses, I dropped $500 on a similar "done for you" affiliate site package a couple years back. The ironic part is they usually upsell you on tools and hosting that cost more than the course itself. At least you learned the lesson cheaper than some people who drop thousands.

Hang on, I think $400 is actually on the lower end for these course packages. I've seen the same basic "done for you" affiliate stuff go for $1k to $2k pretty regularly. The upsells are definitely the trap though, that's where they get you.
