Had a coolant line blow out at 3 AM in a shop outside Dallas

I was under a customer's F-150 when the hose burst and sprayed coolant all over my face and the engine bay, but I patched it with a piece of garden hose and two zip ties to get the truck running by sunrise for a $200 emergency fee.

Did you hear about that mechanic up in Oklahoma who did the same thing with a Monster Energy can and some duct tape? Got the guy home and charged him $150.

Yeah that story's been going around but I think it was a Dew can not Monster. Pretty sure it was Mountain Dew because the green stood out more in the pictures someone posted. But yeah the duct tape part is right, that's the funny thing. Still $150 is a steal for getting home when you're stuck.
