Hit 5000 miles on my longboard this summer and it got me thinking about wear patterns
I started tracking my rides back in April just out of curiosity. Wanted to see how far I actually go on a typical day. 5000 miles is a lot for one season but I live near the coast so I cruise a lot. The weird thing is I never realized how much the terrain changes your equipment. My wheels are worn down way different on the right side because I always push with my left foot. Never thought about that before. Anyone else notice weird wear patterns on their gear after hitting a high number?

Wait, did you mean 5000 miles total or per wheel? Because if you're pushing with your left foot, the back right wheel takes the most scraping, not the right side evenly.

Nah, it's total miles. But you're right about the back right wheel taking the worst of it. My bearings on that side are shot too.
