That $150 course on flipping furniture was a total scam for me

I spent 150 bucks on a 3 week course promising fast profits flipping old dressers and tables, but after 2 months and 40 hours of sanding I barely made 60 bucks total. Anyone else get burned by one of those 'easy money' side hustle guides?

40 hours of work for 60 bucks? That's brutal man. I would have lost my mind after the first week of that.

OH MY GOD same here! I fell for a similar course that was supposed to teach you how to flip furniture in a weekend. I spent 200 bucks and then another 100 on supplies and paint, but my first few pieces came out looking TERRIBLE. After like a month of watching the grain fill wrong and staining everything uneven, I had to give away most of my projects to friends just to get them out of my garage. The course made it look so simple with their fancy before and after photos but they never showed the hours of sanding and fixing mistakes. These side hustle courses are just preying on people who want a quick extra income stream.

Preying" feels a little dramatic, no? It's just a course.
