That Thursday where every machine in our shop went down by noon
I came in at 7am thinking it'd be a normal day, but by 10 we had a CNC spindle seize, a compressor blow a gasket, and the band saw blade snap all within 2 hours. Has anyone else had a single shift where everything just gave up at once?

Three machines down before lunch on a Thursday... I've seen that pattern in my own life where it's like the universe just decides to test you all at once. It's like when your phone battery drains fast, then your car won't start, and the coffee maker breaks on the same morning. Everything's got its own timeline for falling apart, and sometimes they all sync up for no good reason. Makes you wonder if there's some hidden law of chaos that kicks in on certain days.

That Thursday morning last month, two printers jammed and my truck battery died before 9 AM. You hit the nail on the head about the timelines syncing up, feels like the universe just throws a bunch of little annoyances at you all at once to see if you'll snap. It's almost like there's a hidden rule somewhere that says everything crappy has to happen in clusters.

Wonder if those clusters happen more often when you're already running on empty, like the universe knows when you're most vulnerable and just piles it on. Do you think it's totally random or is there something about Thursdays particularly that makes everything go sideways? I've noticed my own bad streaks always hit on weekdays, never on a Saturday when I could actually handle it. Maybe it's tied to that pressure of trying to get everything done before the weekend hits.
