TIL I was totally wrong about meal prepping on Sundays
I used to think meal prepping was a waste of time because my meals always got soggy by Wednesday. Last month, I tried a new method where I prep ingredients separately instead of cooking full meals. My buddy Jason showed me how he does it for his family of 4, and it blew my mind. Now I spend 2 hours on Sunday chopping veggies and marinating meats, then cook fresh each night. It only takes 15 minutes to throw dinner together after work now. Has anyone else found a different food prep style that actually works for them?

@evan543 found a way to make freezing sound exciting. Guess I'll rethink meal prep.

You ever try freezing individual portions of sauces and marinated meats... that's what finally made meal prep click for me, stuff stays fresh way longer.

Oh man, I totally used to be the opposite on this. I thought freezing sauces would mess up the texture or make everything taste freezer burnt. But I finally tried it with a big batch of curry and some pre-marinated chicken thighs, and you're right, it's a game changer. The sauce actually holds up way better than I thought, and now I can just thaw one portion for a quick dinner without wasting a whole container.
