Sent 'I miss you' to my ex at 2am last Tuesday and he replied with a thumbs up
So last Tuesday I was up at 2am scrolling old photos on my phone and I typed out this long paragraph about how I still think about our trip to Austin. I hit send before I could stop myself. He replied with just a thumbs up emoji about 20 minutes later. I stared at my screen for like 10 minutes and then deleted the whole conversation. The worst part is I saw him at a friend's birthday party on Saturday and he acted like nothing happened. Has anyone else sent a long emotional text and gotten back the most nothing reply ever? What did you do after?

Why do guys do that? That thumbs up is like a punch in the gut. I sent my ex a whole thing about his mom being sick and got back "ok." Just "ok." It hurts because you put your whole heart out there and they give you nothing back. You did the right thing deleting it. I saw mine a week later too and he smiled like we were strangers. Honestly the only thing that helped me was time and staying busy.
