Found out the hard way that painting exterior walls before 10am in Tucson is a disaster because the dew messes up the cure time

Wasted a whole weekend repainting my south-facing wall after the morning moisture made the finish bubble up, has anyone else dealt with weird cure times from desert humidity at dawn?

My buddy Jeff thought he was being all smart getting to the job site at like 5am last Tuesday to beat the heat. He was feeling great, had his coffee, watched the sunrise, the whole thing. Turns out he left his truck running with the keys in the ignition while he went to unlock the gate, and someone just hopped in and drove it right off before he even turned around. He spent the next six hours at the police station instead of working.
