Had my doubts about radiant barrier paint until this June in Tucson

My neighbor kept pushing this reflective roof coating from a brand called CoolSeal and I figured it was snake oil. After three 110 degree days in a row I borrowed a quart and slapped it on a small shed. The interior temp dropped by almost 15 degrees. Anyone else try this stuff or have a better alternative?

Maybe try white elastomeric roof coating instead, cheaper and works just as good.

Used CoolSeal on my garage roof here in Phoenix last summer. The difference was wild. My garage went from a sweatbox to actually usable for working on stuff during the day. I did two coats and it still reflects after monsoon season. Not perfect at night but the daytime drop was about 12 degrees for me.

Yeah that nighttime issue is real. If you're thinking about doing the walls too, check if your HOA has rules about that first. I learned that one the hard way.
