Swapped out my old swamp cooler pads for the new rigid type last month
For years I was buying those aspen fiber pads every spring. They'd rot out by September and I'd be fighting dust and smell all summer. A guy at the hardware store in Tucson told me to try the rigid honeycomb pads back in July. Cost me $45 instead of the usual $20 but they have held up way better through the heat. No mold smell yet and the air feels cooler. Has anyone else made the switch and noticed a difference in their electric bill?
