Warning: That fancy desert-friendly foundation pour took me 3 extra weeks
I was doing a renovation outside Tucson and thought I was being smart using a special rapid-set concrete for the hot dry climate. Turned out the mix started curing way too fast in the 105 degree heat, and I ended up with cracks everywhere. The supplier never mentioned I needed to wet cure it for twice as long to stop the surface from drying out. Has anyone else dealt with foundation issues in extreme heat like this?

My buddy tried that rapid-set stuff for a walkway in Phoenix last July. Ended up chipping chunks out with a hammer two days later because it set so fast he couldnt finish smoothing it.

Double check if your gravel base was damp enough before you poured, because in that heat a dry base will suck the moisture right out of the slab from underneath. I've seen crews skip wetting the subgrade and end up with a mess that looks like a dry lake bed within hours. Bet that rapid-set concrete had a different water ratio than what you'd normally use, and nobody checked the mix temp on site before they started.
