Found out my shop's 'certified' mechanic never passed the Cummins test

I was digging through old training records last week and found out one of our senior guys never actually passed his Level 2 Cummins certification. He just kept retaking the prep course and claimed he got it. Now I'm stuck wondering if I should snitch to management or let it slide since he does decent work. What would you do in my shoes?

Decent work is decent work, but if he can't pass the test after multiple tries there's a gap in his knowledge somewhere. That gap can cost the shop a lot more than embarrassment when something goes wrong. Management needs to know so they can either get him proper training or reassign him before a big claim hits. Plus keeping a guy who lied about credentials puts everyone else in a bad spot if the truth comes out later.
