Had a real bad week with a fleet of 2020 Freightliner Cascadias
Three trucks came in from the same company in Boise with the same DEF system fault code, P20EE. The first one took me a full day to trace back to a cracked injector line, but the other two had clogged dosing pumps. The shop owner said the company switched to a cheap off-brand DEF fluid six months ago. Has anyone else seen a rash of issues from a bad batch of fluid?

Cheap DEF will wreck those dosing pumps every time.

Actually, @jessicap82, I've had decent luck with the budget stuff in my old truck. The pump's been fine for years now. Maybe it's more about the specific brand than just the price.

Oh man, I feel you on this one! My old F-150 has been running on the cheap stuff for like three years now and the pump's still going strong. I think it really does come down to which brand you grab sometimes. I've had a few bottles from the gas station that made my truck act up a bit, but the stuff from the farm supply store has been golden. So I get it - not all budget options are junk, you just gotta find the right ones.
