Those cheap aftermarket injectors from eBay cost me $1,200 in labor and towing after they failed in 3 months

I rolled the dice on a set of reman injectors for my Cummins for $400 instead of $1,200 for OEM, and by the time I paid for a tow from Cheyenne and extra shop time to swap them again, I ended up spending more than if I'd just bought the good ones from the start - anyone else been burned by budget rebuilds?

Man, that's rough. And @lily_cooper is right, you can pay double and still get the same junk. I learned that lesson the hard way with a set of "refurbished" Bosch injectors off eBay that lasted maybe 2,000 miles before one started dumping fuel into the oil. The tow bill alone was enough to make me want to trade the truck for a bicycle, and the shop charged me extra to flush all that diesel out of the crankcase. Cheap parts are just expensive lessons in disguise, I swear.

Pay extra and get the same result half the time.
