TIL a shop in Phoenix got hit with a $15k fine for using the wrong DEF fluid
I was reading a trade magazine at the parts counter and saw a story about a shop that filled a whole fleet's tanks with off-road diesel by mistake. The EPA came down hard because the trucks were registered for highway use. How often do you guys double-check the pump labels before you start a fill?

Check the paperwork before you even touch the pump. That shop's mistake probably started with a rushed work order, not just a mislabeled tank. A quick glance at the service ticket could have saved them a world of hurt.

My buddy's garage flooded from a wrong filter code.

But what if the paperwork itself is wrong?
