Finally figured out my tablet pressure sensitivity after a year of fighting it

I used to just muscle through every piece with the default brush settings, ending up with these awful jagged lines I'd have to clean up for hours. Last week I actually sat down and watched a 20 minute tutorial on calibrating the pen pressure curve, and suddenly my strokes look smooth and natural. Has anyone else put off learning a basic setting for way too long and then felt kind of dumb when they finally got it?

Oh gosh, I spent months blaming my shaky hands before realizing I just needed to adjust the tip feel setting.

Two years? Man, that's rough. I spent a full year messing with driver conflicts and blaming Windows updates before I realized I just had to open the Wacom settings panel and click "calibrate." It took me maybe five minutes to fix once I actually tried. Did you ever accidentally break a stylus nib from pressing too hard like I did?

Sat down and did the same thing with my drawing tablet after two years of garbage lines. Felt like an idiot when a smooth curve came out on the first try.
