Found out my favorite digital artist used AI for 3 years and I'm floored

I was digging through an old forum post from 2021 and saw someone break down the brush strokes in a piece I loved from 2022. They pointed out how every single hair strand curved the exact same way. I went back and checked 15 of her older pieces and the pattern was obvious once you looked. Has anyone else run into this kind of thing with popular artists they admired?

Stop looking for patterns in everything and just enjoy the art for what it is.

I used to think people were just being paranoid about AI in art, but then I saw someone point out the exact same repetitive hand details in a big artist's work. Went back and looked at nine months of their posts and every little finger joint was identical. Changed my whole view on what to look for now.

Started looking at the background details too, found the EXACT same smudge repeated in ten different pieces.
