PSA: That $5 canvas texture brush pack actually works

I was super skeptical about those cheap brush packs on Gumroad, thought it was all hype and overpriced filters. Grabbed one from a guy named Pedro last Tuesday for a portrait project and it cut my background rendering time by about 40 minutes. Anyone else find a low-cost asset that surprised you with how good it actually was?

Pedro's pack actually holds up on 4K canvases without lag.

That 4K canvases thing is more about your GPU than the pack itself, which mainly optimizes storage and load times. Have you tested it on a lower end card yet?

I just tested it on my old GTX 1060 last night with a massive 4K cityscape and it ran smooth as butter... not a single stutter or frame drop which surprised me honestly. @charles836 I get what you're saying about GPU importance but this pack really does handle the heavy lifting differently. The raw file sizes are way smaller and my load times went from like 45 seconds down to 10 tops. My friend with a similar card tried it too and had the same results so it's not just my setup.
