Spent $300 on a Huion Kamvas 13 drawing tablet and it changed my workflow

I saved up for a while to buy a screen tablet, and I got the Kamvas 13 for around $300. Before that, I was using a regular non-screen tablet and it always felt like drawing on ice, you know? The screen on this thing lets me draw right where the lines appear, which just feels way more natural. It took me about a week to really get used to it, but now my sketches feel a lot more fluid. Has anyone else made a similar switch to a screen tablet, and did it help your art feel more direct?

Drawing on ice" is the perfect way to put it. I felt the same disconnect with my old non-screen tablet. Getting a screen model made everything click and my lines got way more confident.

My art teacher swears by screen tablets for fixing that hand-eye lag.

Did you try the felt nibs, like angela_patel75 said?
